Inspire

An inspiring idea is a gift as it can promote solutions, new directions or new ways of doing things. But an inspiring idea is just that…an idea. Rather, it is the ability to bring an inspiring idea to life that is often overlooked and separates thriving businesses from those that simply fade away. The ability to deliver requires the tenacity, drive and discipline to grind out the details. I can relate.

In 2006, while enrolled in a Rapid Prototyping class at a local community college, I made a personal promise to share what I had learned about the emerging technology to a global audience.

I never forgot my promise and a few years later, I created an online educational platform, AMazing, dedicated to additive manufacturing (aka Rapid Prototyping/3D printing). It was a bold idea. An idea that I approached by my faith in God, a supportive family, and a lot of “grit”. Little did I know, my journey would span a decade, introducing my readership to daily industry achievements and countless “first-evers”.

In 2018, AMazing served as an ‘Official Media’ sponsor for major US manufacturing conferences like Westec, AeroDef, RAPID +TCT, Smart Manufacturing and Fabtech. On a global scale, AMazing’s reach crossed many languages and borders with the largest European conference establishing a yearly presence on AMazing’s platform. A few years later, AMazing was acquired by a global organization.

In developing AMazing to a worldwide community, it was essential to communicate clearly and effectively, to be organized and administer to tasks in a disciplined manner.

Over the course of my career in industry, I have experienced initiatives similar in scope and complexity to AMazing. The more successful endeavors were executed similarly to AMazing. In contrast, the initiatives that missed the mark, often lacked clear communication, the discipline to overcome old habits, as well as undervaluing employee engagement.

Employee engagement is perhaps the single most essential aspect to project success. To the point, the first two letter “i”s of the Inspire ii2l logo above, symbolize two people communicating and a nod to the essential nature of effective employee communication and participation.

In support of effective communication and education, Inspire is pleased to offer “education enrichment” coursework for middle to high school students. The aim of the coursework is novel in that the coursework offers what works and what matters in industry, along with an entrepreneurial case study about creating “something from nothing”.

Parent/Student Testimonials:

We used David of Inspire this summer to teach our daughter 5th grade math involving fractions and geometry.

David stresses fundamentals, while utilizing a progressive teaching style that encourages students to take an active role in their learning, be curious and have fun. As an added bonus, David shared several introductory lessons from his Enrichment curriculum that helped broaden our daughter’s introduction to STEM.

In her own words, our daughter wrote in a thank you note to David, “I loved doing math, CAD and science with you. I hope we can do more things this summer.”

We highly recommend Inspire to any parent seeking a tutor or a supplement to their homeschooling program.

We reached out to David of Inspire to help our daughter with a high school physics project to build a “mousetrap car”. The car had to be powered by a mousetrap and travel no more and no less than 16 meters. The project also had a hard deadline with the final test in the school’s basketball gym.

David met with our daughter to help design and build an early prototype, and then a final model. During the process, my daughter and David worked together to understand the physics and math that were involved. David also introduced Solidworks CAD to our daughter as a design tool.
On the day of the test, the model car successfully traveled the required distance not once but twice!
We would highly recommend David of Inspire for special STEM projects!
